Just a few cute pics from first thing this morning - the pups & mom spend the night in a pool upstairs in our bedroom at night, and then we transport them in a laundry basket downstairs to their whelping kennel and pool in our living room throughout the day.
This morning, Uncle Buck was in full 'Overseer mode' - almost as if he was counting pups to be sure I hadn't forgotten anyone!
Once satisfied they were all safe and sound, he resumed his guard duties on his regular perch - the stepstool - to be able to continue watching over them. 💓
The pups are becoming easier and easier for me to tell apart with each passing day...whenever we have a litter that have a lot of 'look-a-likes,' I always think I'll NEVER keep them straight. But I should remember - when you spend 24 hrs a day with them, it only takes a few days for them to all look very different...but it's still fun to quiz myself with each new pic:
The lineup - from 2 different angles.
From left: Mojave, Sidewinder, Diamondback, Baja (underneath), Canebrake, Panamint, Timber, Aruba, Hopi & Rocky off by his lonesome.
Back to front:
Hopi, Aruba, Timber, Pannamint, Canebrake, Baja (still getting squished), Diamondback, Sidewinder, Mojave. Top: Rocky
And...just for a little comparison of just how much colors can change - here's mama Scarlet at about the same age as these guys...looking for all the world just like her son Mojave!

Oh they are starting to look so different!! What a sweet supervisor too <3
